“Steph burns as her friends race to save her life.”

Plot[]

Doctor Amy Jones receives a phone call from someone, asking her to do something. She preps for an emergency, and meets Sister Agnes, telling her that she’s coming back… to what, we don’t know.

Stephanie Davies meanwhile is sick with a hot fever, and they try to figure out what’s wrong. Dr. Jones diagnoses it as Hypothermia, and if Steph continues to burn up, she’s going to die.

Dr. Jones tries to shoo the rest of the Shield out, but they come up with reasons to stay. The Hospital goes on code black lockdown, because there’s an airborne toxicant in the Hospital. They’re locked in, and they need to figure out how to fight what’s wrong with Steph to get out.

And Dr. Jones has had 25 patients with the same problem in the last 20 hours, 15 of those patients were hospital staff; they died within 40 minutes. They have about 16 minutes to try to save Steph.

Paul Davies shows up demanding to see his daughter. Dr. Jones tries to calm him down.

Sahi finds out that Steph is on Anti-depressants, because all the patients had the same problem, and Sahi calls Dr. Jones out on it, which Dr. Jones plays off on her being too busy to get to read the files and know the connections. Sahi impresses on Dr. Jones how important Steph’s life is, and Dr. Jones figures out how to treat Steph, by putting her under deep sedation.

It works, and Dr. Jones gets them all released. Then, in her pause, Dr. Jones bemoans what she did. Than Sister Agnes shows up and berates Dr. Jones for failing.

We rewind time to hear the other side of the conversation Dr. Jones had on the phone, where Bishop Francis orders Dr. Jones to kill Stephanie.
